Welcome!

“Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful;  they are sunshine,  food and medicine for the soul.”
 ~ Luther Burbank, 1849-1926
American botanist & horticulturist

Greetings to all gardeners.  This site offers practical advice on flower gardening in urban, small space settings. The information is designed to help beginner and more practiced gardeners take charge of a patch of earth and tend healthy, vibrant flower gardens.

Thank you to everyone who attended the May 5th Gardening Event.  It was terrific!

We’re editing the video now and should have a highlight reel to share shortly!

While you’re waiting, check out the 2011 workshop! Click the link to watch the tw0-minute video – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TIWkU4dmeY

On this website,  I’ll focus on:

  • tree pit gardens
  • window boxes
  • container gardens
  • small yards, roof tops and patio spaces

Need garden coaching and instruction?  I can help with that too!

  • plant selection and placement
  • creating container gardens and window boxes

For those looking for information on vegetable gardening or tree care, there are great links under Resources.  For me, it’s all about the flowers.  And the design.  And the soil.  And the fencing. And creating a beautiful space with my hands…
